We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturing facility located in Fayetteville, AR. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a strong mechanical aptitude and are passionate about maintaining and improving industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment. The pay for this position ranges from $17 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the routine and preventative maintenance of factory machinery and equipment. This includes troubleshooting mechanical issues, repairing or replacing defective parts, and ensuring that all machines operate efficiently and safely. You will work closely with other technicians and production staff to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment performance.
The ideal Maintenance Technician will have experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with working knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic welding or fabrication. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure machines are operating according to safety and efficiency standards.
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Document maintenance activities and keep accurate records.
- Communicate with production staff and supervisors regarding equipment issues and status.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician in a factory or similar environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
