Job Details

As a Maintenance Technician with our client in Little Rock, AR, you play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment. Your responsibilities include performing scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical issues, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and promoting good housekeeping practices within the maintenance department. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager or TPM Leader and offers a competitive pay rate of $20 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure Equipment Safety and Efficiency:
    • Operate all equipment safely to meet or exceed company-established Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) expectations and customer quality standards.
    • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout policies and address unsafe conditions promptly.
    • Proactively address production equipment inefficiencies and document process changes.
    • Perform maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager or TPM Leader.
  2. Scheduled Preventative Maintenance:
    • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as outlined, addressing machine inefficiencies during maintenance.
    • Evaluate operator checklists and comments to correct production inefficiencies.
    • Maintain equipment cleanliness and condition after preventative maintenance.
    • Identify areas for improvement and follow Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) guidelines.
  3. Production Equipment Changeovers:
    • Execute scheduled equipment mold changeovers with minimal downtime following Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) procedures.
    • Ensure safe and efficient operation post-changeover.
  4. Troubleshooting and Maintenance Tasks:
    • Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and process problems as needed.
    • Perform building maintenance tasks as directed.
  5. Record Keeping and Coordination:
    • Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) – MicroMain.
    • Manage parts inventory and notify when inventory levels are low.
    • Coordinate production equipment training and employee development.
  6. Housekeeping and Communication:
    • Promote and participate in good housekeeping practices.
    • Communicate problems, progress reports, and improvement ideas to management and team members.
  7. Committee Membership:
    • Actively participate in Maintenance Staff and Problem-Solving Team meetings as necessary.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work well in a team and take direction.
  • Capacity to handle deadlines and changing priorities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training opportunities.
