As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the production equipment operates smoothly. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance: Regularly perform maintenance on machinery to keep operations running smoothly and avoid unexpected breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing quick and effective repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Equipment Repair: Repair or replace faulty parts to keep equipment in optimal working condition, ensuring production schedules stay on track.
  • Installation: Assist in setting up and testing new machinery to ensure it meets production needs and safety standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines meticulously, ensuring that all repairs and installations meet both company and industry safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts usage to ensure a smooth operation and future maintenance planning.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production staff to prioritize repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to production lines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvements in equipment reliability and suggest actionable solutions.
  • Technical Support: Provide on-the-spot training and support to machine operators, helping them properly use and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
