Job Details
We are seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Mayflower, AR at a pay rate of $14/hour. The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring production areas are fully stocked with necessary materials, including filling bins, making boxes, staging empty skids, and moving completed production efficiently and on time. This role also requires active participation in housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure operators and production equipment are properly supplied.
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack safely.
- Read and write English proficiently to complete job tasks correctly.
- Identify and communicate any machine, material, product, or safety concerns to a supervisor.
- Maintain all production and assembly inventory using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) system.
- Inspect pallets for proper labeling and transport finished products to the shipping area.
- Keep aisles and production areas clear.
- Adhere to HACCP and SQF policies and procedures.
- Operate production equipment and complete necessary documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with general housekeeping and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Monitor all equipment and report any issues.
- Support co-workers in the department as needed.
- Train new employees when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or equivalent required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with production reports.
- Basic computer and math skills required.
- Must obtain and maintain a forklift operator’s license.
