Job Details
Our client is seeking a dependable Metal Department Associate to join their production team in Fort Smith, AR. This position is responsible for removing sticker labels, paper, and other materials from metal products using hand tools such as scrapers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.
The Metal Department Associate plays an important role in preparing products for the next stage of production by ensuring surfaces are clean and free of labels or debris. Candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and following established safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove sticker labels, paper, and adhesive materials from metal products.
- Use hand tools, including scrapers, to clean product surfaces safely and effectively.
- Inspect products to ensure all materials have been completely removed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and production procedures.
- Report damaged materials or equipment concerns to a supervisor.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements
