Job Details
We are seeking a “Preventative Maintenance” candidate to maintain and repair machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns, along with performing routine upkeep to ensure optimal performance. This includes tasks like inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and replacing worn parts. The goal is to proactively identify and address potential issues before they lead to more serious and costly problems, minimizing downtime and extending the lifespan of equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular cleaning, lubrication, and mechanical adjustments on machinery and equipment.
- Conduct scheduled inspections to identify wear, damage, and potential issues such as belt wear, shaft alignment, and fluid levels.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machinery, minimizing downtime.
- Accurately document all maintenance tasks and repairs performed.
- Follow manufacturer instructions and company schedules for all preventative maintenance.
- Prioritize safety by following all workplace safety regulations and maintenance protocols.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding maintenance needs and repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a preventative maintenance or industrial maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Electrical knowledge for troubleshooting and basic repairs of components and systems.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and resolve them effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in inspections and recordkeeping.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; physical stamina required.
