We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Printing Press Rewinder to join our client’s production team in Fort Smith, AR. The Printing Press Rewinder plays a critical role in ensuring printed materials are properly rewound, aligned, and prepared for final use or shipment. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and take pride in producing high-quality work. The Printing Press Rewinder will work closely with press operators and other production staff to maintain efficiency and consistency throughout the printing process.
The ideal candidate for the Printing Press Rewinder role will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to monitor equipment performance. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain printing press rewinding equipment to ensure proper tension, alignment, and consistent winding of printed materials
- Monitor production output and adjust rewinding mechanisms to maintain quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished rolls for defects, alignment issues, or inconsistencies
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on rewinding equipment
- Assist with preparing, labeling, and packaging finished printed materials for shipment
- Work closely with press operators and team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate with supervisors
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or printing experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to operate machinery and perform basic mechanical adjustments
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment
