We are currently recruiting for a Production Operator II on behalf of our client in Benton, AR. This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity offering competitive pay and long-term potential. The Production Operator II plays a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations by operating equipment, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The Production Operator II is responsible for operating multiple basic production machines or a single complex piece of technical production equipment to manufacture parts according to detailed work order instructions. This position requires consistent attention to quality, safety, and efficiency. The Production Operator II will inspect finished parts, make routine machine adjustments, transfer materials through production processes, and assist with training new team members. Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate multiple basic production machines and/or one complex production machine to manufacture parts according to specifications
- Follow work order instructions to ensure accurate and efficient production
- Make routine machine adjustments and notify appropriate personnel when technical assistance is needed
- Inspect finished parts to verify compliance with customer and internal quality standards
- Identify product defects and take appropriate action, including reporting quality concerns
- Transfer parts to the next process using computer software systems
- Load, unload, stack, and transport materials using hand-trucks, forklifts, cranes, or hoists
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning machines, tools, and equipment
- Train incoming operators on processes and procedures as assigned
- Wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas at all times
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Minimum of six (6) months of manufacturing experience
- Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
- Ability to read and interpret standard and metric measurements
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Experience using handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and drop gauges
- Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills
- Ability to assess product quality deficiencies and report findings appropriately
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds
