Job Details
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing production operations, ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency standards are upheld. This role requires hands-on leadership and the ability to manage production shift employees in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with regulations, troubleshooting operational challenges, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations and manage workflows to ensure efficiency while adhering to work instructions.
- Prepare employee work schedules and oversee shift activities.
- Conduct employee performance reviews, assist with hiring, and initiate disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of production processes and equipment.
- Ensure accurate identification, weighing, and warehousing of products.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and communicate equipment concerns to the maintenance team.
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Complete and verify production paperwork for accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to 5S standards.
- Create and manage purchase requisitions for necessary materials and supplies.
Qualifications
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, production operations and equipment.
- Strong leadership and delegation skills with a focus on prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Proven experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred:
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ERP, IQMS, or MRP systems.
- Experience in injection molding operations.
