Production Technician

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all production tasks related to manufacturing, packing, and shipping food products.
• Operate powered equipment, including forklifts, as required.
• Understand basic machine functions to efficiently complete assigned tasks.
• Follow all food safety, legal, quality, and process control regulations.
• Maintain accurate company records and promptly report any defective materials or issues to a supervisor or lead operator.
• Ensure the work area and equipment remain clean and in good working condition.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least one (1) year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Experience in the food or chemical industry is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and accept supervision.
• Must be able to read and interpret customer orders and production documents.
• Basic computer proficiency is required.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Occasional stooping, bending, and kneeling required.
• Ability to perform close visual work on controls and identify color variations.
• Must wear required PPE at all times.
• Ability to work extended shifts and weekends as necessary.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at various heights.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance.
• Work is performed in non-air-conditioned production areas, both indoors and outdoors.
• Uneven walking surfaces are present.
• Exposure to dust, rotating equipment, hot and cold temperatures, noise, and moving lift equipment.
