The Production Technician plays an essential role in supporting daily manufacturing operations for our client in Little Rock. This position is responsible for carrying out all tasks related to producing, packing, and shipping company products while rotating through various departments as needed. The Production Technician works with production equipment, follows established safety and quality guidelines, and helps maintain smooth workflow throughout the facility. This role requires strong attention to detail, dependable work habits, and a commitment to maintaining high standards for food safety, product quality, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all core production technician duties including producing, packing, and shipping flour and crisp rice products.
- Operate a lift truck or other powered equipment as needed.
- Understand basic machine functions to support production tasks.
- Follow all food safety, quality, legal, and process control policies and regulations.
- Complete and maintain all required company records, paperwork, and forms.
- Report defective materials, equipment issues, or unusual conditions to a lead operator or member of management.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with equipment disassembly and reassembly when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production needs.
Qualifications
- One year of successful experience in a modern industrial or manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED. Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Previous experience in food or chemical production preferred.
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to read and interpret customer orders and production documents.
- Basic computer understanding for production-related tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, occasionally stoop, bend, or kneel, and work at various facility levels using ladders.
- Able to lift 50 pounds routinely without assistance.
- Comfortable wearing required PPE and working extended shifts or weekends when needed.
