As a staffing agency partnering with our client in Little Rock, we are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Control Technician to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Quality Control Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal specifications. This position reports directly to the Quality Control Supervisor and works closely with the extrusion department to maintain product integrity and consistency. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing inspections and testing products at various stages of the production process. This role compiles and analyzes data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of materials and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and uphold the established Quality Policy
- Perform duties in accordance with the documented quality system manual, directives, and work instructions
- Select products for testing at specified stages of the production process
- Conduct tests to evaluate dimensions, performance, and mechanical or chemical characteristics according to required standards
- Set up and perform both destructive and non-destructive testing on materials, parts, and finished products
- Ensure 100% compliance with applicable standards, including ASTM, NSF, UL, and other regulatory requirements
- Record and document test data using statistical quality control procedures
- Evaluate test results and complete reports to validate compliance or identify deviations
- Communicate quality concerns promptly to management
- Support production operators in identifying and resolving quality-related issues
- Recommend modifications to quality or production standards to achieve optimal product performance within equipment capabilities
- Prepare graphs and charts or enter data into computer systems for further analysis
- Operate a lift truck as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety policies and procedures
- Lift and move materials as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; technical education preferred
- Minimum of two years of prior quality control experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive, professional demeanor and demonstrated strong performance history
