Key Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes. Here’s what the role entails:
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and Review Procedures: Develop and review sampling procedures while providing clear directions for recording and reporting quality data.
- Investigate Customer Complaints: Lead the investigation of both internal and external customer complaints, taking charge of implementing corrective actions through effective team coordination.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvement by developing and implementing work instructions that enhance both processes and overall product quality.
- Blueprint Understanding: Possess the ability to review and understand prints and specifications, collaborating with shop floor employees to address and resolve quality concerns.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements to meet and exceed industry standards.
- Statistical Analysis: Collect and compile statistical quality data, analyzing the information to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
- Proactive Issue Resolution: Address quality concerns as they arise, making informed decisions on the necessary actions to be taken to uphold quality standards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Certification in Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Technician, or Quality Inspector is required.
- Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
- Quality Assurance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of Quality Assurance.
- Industry Standards: Familiarity with FAI (First Article Inspection), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and capability studies.
- Testing Equipment: Proficiency in using testing equipment such as CMM programming, tensile testing, hardness measurement, and other quality-related tools.
- Quality Management Systems: Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001:2015 standards.
