We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Raw Materials Specialist for our client in Fayetteville, AR. The Raw Materials Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring all downstream processes operate efficiently by maintaining accurate counts, proper staging, and organized storage of materials. This position directly impacts profitability by maximizing the reuse of drop metal before it becomes scrap and ensuring that all receiving, staging, and documentation protocols are followed precisely. The Raw Materials Specialist must be present during all cutting or forming operations, or ensure staging protocols are completed when absent.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily counts of sheet materials and linear footage, update spreadsheets, and provide redaction worksheets to supply chain.
• Receive raw material orders, instruct delivery drivers, and unload using assigned forklifts and chokers.
• Inspect incoming stainless steel sheet material following established procedures, ensuring quality before racking.
• Place received materials into correct inventory racks according to type, gauge, and finish, and maintain clear labeling.
• Follow proper recycling procedures for banding, cardboard, paper, and other packaging materials.
• Process structural shapes, flat bars, round bars, pipe, and machining raw materials by removing packaging, marking ends with appropriate color codes, and storing in designated rack locations.
• Ensure all materials are stored only in their approved areas and that point-of-use storage guidelines are followed.
• Maintain strict adherence to all safety, recycling, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in material handling, inventory, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Skilled in operating forklifts and lifting equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in recordkeeping.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed procedures.
