Job Details

Our client is seeking detail-oriented and analytical individuals to join their team as a Report Writer. This position plays a key role in supporting laboratory operations by assisting with testing processes, analyzing results, and producing accurate and comprehensive reports. The Report Writer will work closely with senior laboratory staff and engineers to ensure all data is properly documented and communicated.

The ideal candidate for the Report Writer role will have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, data analysis, and reporting tools. This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30am to 4:00pm and offers a stable work environment with opportunities to grow technical skills. No drug screening is required, and candidates must have a clear background.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing laboratory samples and performing routine tests using standard lab equipment
  • Accurately record, interpret, and analyze test results
  • Prepare detailed reports, charts, and graphs to communicate findings clearly
  • Operate computer systems to input, extract, and manage laboratory data
  • Follow established test plans, datasheets, and operational procedures
  • Evaluate test performance and identify any inconsistencies or issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and routine care of laboratory equipment and workspaces
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions
  • Communicate with internal teams and occasionally with customers to ensure proper evaluation of samples
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within laboratory processes
  • Adhere to all company policies, including safety, security, and code of conduct standards

The Report Writer will also collaborate with engineers and laboratory technicians to ensure data accuracy and completeness. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and strong organizational skills.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field required
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory information systems and equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with computers and data entry systems
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and test data
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
