We are a staffing agency partnering with our client to hire a dependable and customer-focused Retail Associate for a busy shoe store in Benton, AR. This Retail Associate position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service, and staying productive in a fast-paced retail environment. The right candidate will be outgoing, reliable, and motivated to contribute to a positive shopping experience for every customer.
The Retail Associate will play a key role in assisting customers, maintaining store organization, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly. This role requires someone who can remain proactive during slower periods by taking initiative to complete tasks such as stocking and cleaning while maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance
- Help customers find the right footwear by understanding their needs and preferences
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor
- Restock shelves and ensure merchandise is displayed properly
- Assist with receiving and organizing incoming inventory
- Stay productive during slower periods by completing assigned tasks such as cleaning and organizing
- Follow store policies and procedures to ensure a smooth and safe shopping experience
- Work collaboratively with team members and management to meet store goals
Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude with a willingness to assist customers and team members
- Ability to stay on task and self-motivated during slower business periods
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting as needed
- Willingness to travel to the Benton location for training if required
