As a Retail Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in assisting customers both in the showroom and through phone and online interactions. This dynamic role includes inter-office computer work and inventory fulfillment.

As a Retail Sales Consultant, you will assist customers with their purchases, becoming an expert in flags and helping customers make informed decisions. Your goal will be to build sustainable relationships and engage customers by going the extra mile. You will help customers by looking up their history on the computer, typing quotes and sales orders into our software, and ringing up orders on the cash register.

In addition to direct customer interactions, you will collaborate with other departments to ensure the best outcomes for customers. Organization is crucial, as you will restock and display shelves and keep the showroom clean. Teamwork is essential, as you will work closely with co-workers to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with purchases, both in-person and via phone/online.
  • Become a flag expert, identifying customer needs, clarifying information, and guiding them to the right purchase.
  • Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by providing exceptional service.
  • Look up customer history on the computer to assist with inquiries and transactions.
  • Type quotes and sales orders in our software system accurately.
  • Ring up orders on the cash register efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other departments for the good of the customer.
  • Maintain organization, restock and display shelves, and keep the showroom clean.
  • Work as a team with co-workers to ensure a smooth operation.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer support role and/or retail environment.
  • Strong communication skills with active listening capabilities.
  • Familiarity with computers and general office practices.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to adapt to different personality types.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
