Our client is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Data Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives involving healthcare data, data architecture, data quality, and advanced analytics. The Senior Data Analyst will play a key role in designing and developing data solutions, working with complex healthcare datasets, improving data quality, and preparing enterprise data assets for artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics use cases.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Snowflake, advanced SQL, data architecture, data governance, and healthcare data domains. This position requires someone who can work independently on complex data challenges while also collaborating effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize enterprise data solutions using Snowflake and advanced SQL.
- Develop complex queries involving joins, subqueries, stored procedures, dynamic SQL, and data reconciliation.
- Work with Snowflake features including Dynamic Tables, Materialized Views, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), data governance, and security.
- Analyze existing data models and contribute to enterprise data architecture and warehouse design.
- Develop source-to-target mappings, data lineage, metadata structures, and dimensional data models.
- Support data integration and Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
- Profile data and identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and quality issues.
- Develop and execute data validation, reconciliation, and testing processes.
- Establish and monitor data quality standards covering completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, validity, and uniqueness.
- Help prepare standardized, governed, and reliable data assets for AI and advanced analytics applications.
- Develop data quality scorecards and support automated testing frameworks.
- Investigate defects, determine root causes, and work with appropriate teams to resolve data issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate business needs into data solutions.
- Communicate complex data findings clearly through effective data storytelling and analysis.
Healthcare Data Expertise
The Senior Data Analyst should have strong familiarity with healthcare data, including:
- Professional, institutional, and medical claims
- Pharmacy claims and encounter data
- Claims adjudication processes
- Member enrollment, eligibility, and coverage history
- Product and benefit analysis
- Population health analytics and member attribution
- Provider directories, contracting, attribution, and network data
- NPI structures and provider hierarchies
- Benefit plans and product structures
- Group and employer data
- Commercial and consumer healthcare products
- Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and ACA Marketplace data
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working with databases and enterprise data.
- 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
- Expert-level SQL development skills.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and enterprise data architecture.
- Experience with dimensional modeling, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Experience with data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and quality testing.
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data catalogs, and data lineage.
- Understanding of healthcare data and health plan operations.
- Awareness of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements.
- Experience preparing data for AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics is highly preferred.
- Strong requirements gathering, business process analysis, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
