Are you a skilled individual with a passion for managing service operations? We are currently seeking a dynamic Shop Mechanic to join our client’s team in Fort Smith/Greenwood. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of warranty processes, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Successful candidates will undergo a drug screen and background check as part of the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit warranty claims online to equipment manufacturers for reimbursement.
• Approve and track customer warranty claims to ensure timely resolution.
• Engage in phone and email communication with manufacturers regarding product details and issues.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing troubleshooting assistance and product information.
• Conduct parts lookup and order processing for equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mower problems both in-person and over the phone, providing effective solutions.
• Assemble and repair mowers and handheld equipment with precision and efficiency.
• Occasionally assist in loading or unloading freight to support warehouse operations.
• Periodically pick up or deliver equipment to our warehouse in Fort Smith as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and occasionally work in both Fort Smith and Greenwood offices to support operational needs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in managing day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Prior experience in warranty work and familiarity with warranty claim processes.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including the ability to navigate online warranty systems and software.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric approach.
• Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Forklift experience and the ability to pull a trailer with a pickup truck are advantageous.
