As a Staffing Specialist, you will be the heart of our branch operations, building relationships with job seekers, guiding them through the hiring process, and working closely with our clients to ensure their staffing needs are met. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and customer service — all while working with a supportive team that values collaboration, innovation, and results.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with candidates from the first phone call to their first day on the job, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Interview, hire, and onboard employees in compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines.
- Build lasting relationships with local businesses and act as the go-to resource for their staffing needs.
- Source candidates creatively through job boards, social media, job fairs, and community networking.
- Provide guidance and coaching to employees on assignment, celebrating successes and addressing challenges with care and professionalism.
- Conduct orientations, safety walk-throughs, and incident investigations to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date employee and client records, timesheets, and staffing reports.
- Represent 1st Employment at events, meetings, and networking opportunities to grow our presence and impact.
