Job Details
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in our operations by efficiently handling various tasks within our warehouse facility. Your primary responsibilities will include picking, packing, and conducting final inspections of customer orders to ensure accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking and Packing:
- Locate and retrieve items from designated storage areas to fulfill customer orders.
- Accurately pack items, ensuring they are securely prepared for shipping.
- Final Inspections:
- Conduct thorough quality checks on completed orders to verify accuracy and adherence to company standards before shipment.
- Inventory Management:
- Utilize hand-held scanners to track and update inventory levels in the system.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and accurate inventory by adhering to established procedures.
- Operational Support:
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Ensure work areas are clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.
- Physical Duties:
- Perform tasks that require walking several miles per shift and standing for extended periods (10 to 12 hours).
- Occasionally climb to retrieve items located on higher storage levels.
- Regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any hazards or incidents promptly to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with 10’s and 100’s.
- Must possess excellent attention to detail, maintain a positive attitude, and have consistent attendance.
- Proficiency in operating hand-held scanners for inventory management.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of walking several miles throughout the shift to fulfill job duties.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, typically 10 to 12 hours each day.
- May be required to perform occasional climbing tasks within the warehouse.
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.
