Our client is seeking a dependable Assembler to join their manufacturing team in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Assembler is responsible for reading and interpreting work instructions, assembling products using hand and pneumatic tools, inspecting completed products for quality, and preparing finished items for shipment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Assemble products and fixtures using hand and pneumatic tools.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Wrap, package, and prepare finished products for shipment.
- Unpack materials and organize work areas as needed.
- Perform basic measurements using a tape measure to 1/16-inch accuracy.
- Complete basic math calculations required for assembly tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with additional production and housekeeping duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience using hand tools and pneumatic tools is required.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment during both summer and winter.
